Sawtell Tennis Club has a total of 12 championship standard tennis courts; eight clay courts (much envied by other clubs) and four artificial grass courts. Eight of the courts have lighting for evening play.
Sawtell Tennis Club is situated in the beautiful Sawtell Reserve, surrounded by many sporting facilities like Sawtell Golf Club, Sawtell Lawn Bowls Club, Sawtell Crocquet Club & Sawtell Public Swimming pool.
The Tennis Courts are within walking distance of Sawtell's unique First Avenue main street, offering a variety of shopping, eating, banking and entertainment experiences.

Court Hire.
- Members Free
- Non Members $5 per person*
- Night hire $20/hour, $25 for 2 hours or $30 for as long as needed or until 10pm
* Note during the day the cost includes playing for as long as you like.
* Tennis Racquets and balls can only be hired on weekdays as no one is one site on weekends.
* On weekends the courts can be booked from the Sawtell Caravan Park opposite the tennis courts.
* Non Members still pay $5 even when playing with a Member
Competition Tennis:
Junior, senior, mixed and ladies competitions are played throughout the year. Social morning tennis is played Tuesday to Friday from 8am. Contact the Club or Eli Baylis if you are interested in playing competition tennis.
Major Events:
Sawtell RSL Seaside Open Tennis Championships played Bank Holiday weekend in August.
Sawtell Optus Junior Tour Event played in May each year.
